After taking .sweepstakes honors at the Columbia county fair and the state fair on her cro cheted hairpin lace afghan in shades of rose, she entered an other one in the Pomona Grange contest Monday and took a blue ribbon on it. Th? afghan entered in the fairs was made with Maypole yarns. The one sponsored by the Pomona Grange required the use of Red- heart yarns. The color scheme in both was the same, except that there is a slight difference in shad ing in the two brands of yarns. The one entered in the Grange contest now goes to the state con test. Friends hope it will win there and go on to the national compe tition.
